Avenues of Change Richmond
News for CAPC and AOC families
In response to COVID-19, CAPC Program and Avenues of Change events will be suspended effective March 17, 2020 until further notice. We continue to provide outreach support for families by phone, email and WeChat.
Touchstone Family Association continues to follow the direction of Vancouver Costal Health (VCH), BC Centre for Disease (BCCDC) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to guide the delivery of our programs.
United Way Avenues of Change Richmond is an innovative project that aims to empower parents and caregivers to help children aged 0 - 6 years reach their full potential.
The project implements strategies designed to support:
1 families with children 0-6 years old to connect with and learn from community services and each other
2 children to experience consistently nurturing and stimulating relationships with their parents and caregivers.
United Way Avenues of Change Richmond Offers:
Neighbourhood Family Connectors - For parents and / or caregivers who are interested in learning about services and programs available to support young children and families and share this information with other parents. The objective is to foster a culture of parents supporting parents.
Learn and Share Events - Learn and share what you need to nurture your child's healthy development and meet other parents. Professionals in the community speak to parents during Learn and Share events throughout the year. Click here for the upcoming event.
